DAY OF PRAYER GUIDE in 6 Parts

January 11, 2023 by Eddie 2 Comments

“Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” (Mark 6:31)

Dedicating a significant amount of time alone in a quiet place at the start of the year to engage in an intimate conversation with Lord is a rewarding exercise of faith.  It’s the perfect time to reflect on the year that has just passed with thankfulness, and open yourself up to the Lord’s purposes with prayerful expectation for the year ahead. It builds on our relationship with the Lord who is our good Shepherd, and who is sovereign in our lives.

PRAYING THE SCRIPTURES

December 28, 2020 by Eddie Leave a Comment

Praying the Scriptures is a prayer method that is easy to learn and put into practice, and if practiced regularly, it will enhance not just our regular prayer time and communal prayers, but also enrich one’s bible reading.

BAHALA KA NA, LORD

June 24, 2019 by Eddie 1 Comment

“Rejoice in the Lord always!” Paul says in Phil 4.    He further encourages them by saying “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

The other night, I was speaking to my brothers and sisters in our District in Ligaya, and I summarized what those who spoke ahead of me were saying.  I said, “Grabe, parang hindi tayo nauubusan ng mga serious problems, ano?”

“I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” (Eph 3:18-19)
